Summary

Nordhealth's embedded AI now generates and submits Finland's KLA reimbursement form, once a 20-minute task, in two clicks; no AI-specific revenue was disclosed.

Nordhealth AS (NRDHF) told investors on its August 18, 2026 earnings call that the AI clinical documentation built into its practice-management software has turned Finland's KLA health-insurance reimbursement form, a document that used to take 20 minutes to fill in, into two clicks: one to generate the summary and one to submit it.[1] The company gave no elapsed-time reading for the rebuilt workflow and disclosed no revenue for the feature on its own.

Where the AI clinical documentation sits in Nordhealth's business

Nordhealth AS sells the management software clinics use every day to book visits, record patient notes and settle payment. One side of the business serves veterinary clinics under the Provet name; the other serves mental-health and rehabilitation therapy clinics. The company charges each clinic a subscription, and payments and AI features are sold as add-ons layered on top of that subscription.

The AI documentation described on the call runs inside that system, and the users are the vets and therapists themselves. Before a consultation, it pulls prior records scattered across different sources into one concise patient history. During the consultation, it listens alongside the clinician and turns the conversation into clinical notes and follow-up actions. Afterwards it produces the discharge instructions sent to a pet owner or patient, referral letters and treatment summaries, writes the billable items straight into the bill, and fills in the reimbursement form according to local health-insurance rules. That capability sits at the center of the clinical workflow and belongs to the company's core business rather than to a back-office support tool.

From a March feature list to a regulated filing in August

The March 3, 2026 earnings call was the first time this application came with checkable readings.[2] On the therapy side, listening and summarization were packaged as a separately paid feature: more than 900 customers paid for the AI assistant that quarter, 60,000 hours of transcription were completed and more than 137,000 summaries were generated. On the veterinary side, the company had just launched AI note-taking, discharge instructions and patient-history summaries together with voice-generated billing items - a feature list with no usage results attached.[2]

By the August 18, 2026 earnings call, the output range of the same capability had widened noticeably.[1] The veterinary product could assemble a concise patient history automatically from records held in the system and from migrated history, and the company described itself as the first veterinary product globally to turn speech directly into billing items. The therapy product shipped pre-session patient overviews, treatment summaries, referral letters and discharge summaries one by one, and for the first time pushed documentation into a regulated filing step.

What "two clicks" measures, and what it does not

The only documentation result carrying a concrete number in the latest disclosure comes from the therapy side in Finland. The local KLA reimbursement form used to require reading back through a patient's entire history and 20 minutes of filling in; now the system generates the summary and submits it, and the whole process is two clicks.[1]

Two clicks measures the number of steps, not the time the task currently takes. The company gave no post-change time reading and did not convert the time saved into a labor cost. The weight of the number comes from the form itself: it is governed by local health-insurance rules and the system can now produce it automatically, which means the AI is already handling a document that carries an external compliance requirement, not just an internal record.

The effect of this feature on the financial statements lands first on the customer side; Nordhealth's own labor cost is not where it acts. AI documentation is a separately priced add-on sitting on top of the clinic management system, so the more thoroughly documentation time is compressed, the more willing a clinic is to pay for that layer, and the line it eventually maps to is subscription revenue - annual recurring revenue - and the average price per customer.

Management has listed the AI add-on as one source of new subscription revenue in the period, and has said that customers who buy the AI product are worth more to the company. But the disclosure combined the AI upsell with revenue from new customers and gave no amount for AI on its own. The figure of more than 900 paying customers is the measure tied directly to revenue,[2] though it covers the therapy side's entire AI product and cannot be equated with the number of people paying for the documentation feature. On the veterinary side the rollout is still proceeding clinic by clinic, and the paid attach rate has not been disclosed.[1]

What is confirmed, and what is still unpriced

The operating change that can be confirmed today is that a substantial part of the clinical documentation workload is now carried by the system, that the therapy side has assembled a group of clinics willing to pay for it separately, and that the equivalent veterinary features are live. What has not been verified is the price. The company has not yet broken out the paid penetration of AI documentation, or separated the subscription amount it contributes from new-customer revenue. Until it does, the direction of this revenue path is clear while the amount remains unknown.

in Finland, there's a KLA reimbursement form, which takes, you know, 20 minutes to fill in, because you've got to look at the entire patient's history before you fill it in to get the reimbursement. That's now two clicks away, one to generate the summary and the other to submit it.
