Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group plans to enter Vietnam's asset management business by 2027, establishing a joint venture with state-owned Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust holding 49% and BIDV 51%.
