Telefônica Brasil S.A. (NYSE:VIV) is Brazil's largest telecommunications company and a subsidiary of Spain's Telefônica Group. Originally incorporated in 1998 as Telecomunicações de São Paulo S.A. (TELESP), the company changed its name to Telefônica Brasil in 2011. The company has grown significantly through strategic acquisitions, most notably the 2022 acquisition of Oi's mobile assets, which substantially expanded its customer base and market presence.
