A five-company consortium led by Sumitomo Osaka Cement announced on September 17 that it will begin a study to capture and utilize CO2 emitted from a waste treatment plant in Tokyo, converting it into concrete, resin, carbon dioxide gas and dry ice, under a Tokyo Metropolitan Government publicly solicited project through fiscal 2027.
