Cassava Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:SAVA) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company founded in 1998 and originally incorporated as Pain Therapeutics, Inc. before changing its name in March 2019. Based in Austin, Texas, the company has pivoted from pain management to focus exclusively on developing treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
