(NYSE:ENIC) is a major Chilean electricity utility company that was incorporated in 2016 as a spin-off from its parent company Enel S.p.A., the Italian multinational energy corporation. Originally known as Enersis Chile S.A., the company changed its name to Enel Chile in October 2016 following its initial public offering. The company has rapidly transformed from a traditional utility into a renewable energy leader, with 80% of its generation capacity now coming from renewable sources including hydroelectric, solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
