Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (NYSE:CIG-C) is a Brazilian diversified utility company founded in 1952 and headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2007. CEMIG, as it is commonly known, has evolved from a regional electricity provider into one of Brazil's largest integrated utility companies, serving the state of Minas Gerais and expanding its operations across multiple energy-related sectors throughout Brazil.
