Jiangsu Nhwa Pharmaceutical signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Somnivera granting worldwide rights (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) to develop, manufacture and commercialize an investigational class 1 sleep-disorder drug, with Nhwa receiving a $10.5 million upfront payment, up to $507 million in milestone payments and tiered royalties, and acquiring a 15% stake in Somnivera via its Hong Kong subsidiary.
