Kuaishou Kling AI Q2 Revenue Tops RMB 850 Million

Kuaishou says Kling AI generated over RMB 850 million in Q2 revenue, confirming scaled video-AI commercialization while product profitability remains undisclosed.

On August 19, 2026, Kuaishou Technology (KSHTY) disclosed on an earnings call that Kling AI generated more than RMB 850 million in second-quarter revenue. The figure shows that multimodal video generation has reached direct commercial scale, but the company has not disclosed the product's paying-customer mix, inference costs or profit contribution.[1]

How Kling AI fits Kuaishou's business

Kuaishou Technology (KSHTY) operates content communities and social platforms, earning revenue mainly from online marketing, live streaming and other services that include e-commerce and Kling AI. Kling AI Video Creation serves creators, advertisers and professional media teams. It generates and edits video from text, images and audio and supports batch content production, making it a core AI product sold directly to customers.

Professional workflows and commercialization expanded

By March 25, 2026, the application had integrated video understanding, generation and editing into one multimodal workflow and generated RMB 314 million in fourth-quarter 2025 revenue.[2] By August 19, 2026, Kling AI had added agent-based batch invocation and workflow orchestration, while second-quarter revenue exceeded RMB 850 million. Its users and video-production tasks remained continuous as both product capability and commercial scale expanded.

More than RMB 850 million is direct quarterly revenue from Kling AI, up more than 200% year over year, giving it clearer financial attribution than usage or engagement metrics.[1] The figures prove that customers paid for the video-generation service, but do not show how many customers generated the revenue, whether they paid through subscriptions or usage-based charges, or what generation volume and user retention were associated with the quarter.

Kling AI's financial destination is AI product revenue. Creators and enterprises pay for generation, editing and batch-orchestration services, and those payments flow directly into product revenue. Revenue growth can still reflect model iterations, market demand, creator supply and sales execution, while inference resources, R&D investment and product pricing determine the eventual gross margin. Kuaishou did not disclose these costs or a standalone Kling AI profit margin.

Kuaishou has advanced Kling AI from a multimodal generation tool into a core product with professional workflows and direct quarterly revenue, confirming broader commercialization. The evidence most likely to change the assessment is disclosure of paying customers, revenue per generation and either inference cost or gross margin. Until then, the revenue scale is clear, but the quality of profitability remains separately unquantified.
