Q&A highlights

Q: Could you share with us the sources of this $9 million in other income and how it was identified? Was it a one-time payment?

A: The $9 million is a gain from the fair values of other investments, a change in fair values.

Q: Can you elaborate on the reasons for the decline in product sales?

A: In the third quarter, product sales decreased by $4 million. Partly due to a low-margin data-related product with lower sales compared to last year, and partly due to a Japanese customer delaying orders for two MPB's, but orders are expected in the fourth quarter. The new business products' revenue contribution is small proportionally, but user numbers are increasing.

Q: The Mainland China revenue has grown a lot and become the largest market. What are the main drivers behind that?

A: The main driver is Chinese outbound travelers using the roaming brand in service. Also, 5G market share is higher, more products available in China, and once economic situation stabilizes, more market share can be gained.

Q: What other potential impacts do you anticipate on the market and the company from eased trade tensions?

A: Eased trade tensions may contribute to recovery in sales, especially for new businesses like Petfone which has entered U.S. big channels, and the U.S. market revenue contribution may grow. Traditional mobile broadband business orders are coming in the fourth quarter, and new businesses are performing well.

Q: The 40,000 unit order for Petfone, is that going to the U.S.?

A: 70% of the 40,000 units are for the Middle East market, with the remaining for the U.S. market, and more sales are expected in the U.S. with future campaigns.

Q: Could you give us any more detail on the in-car infotainment system orders?

A: The company has secured orders for in-car infotainment from almost all major providers in regions like North America, Latin America, Middle East, and Europe, with fast growth expected in future revenue from this business.
