Nippon Shokubai announced on August 27 that it will increase the investment amount for its new lithium-ion battery materials plant in Kitakyushu City, scheduled to start operations in 2028, from approximately 37.5 billion yen to approximately 43 billion yen due to rising resource prices and construction costs.
